Legal Risk & Documentation

The course is designed to provide the bedside nurse with the knowledge and skill to “Tell the Whole Story” in the their documentation. the course will:

Discuss laws, standards, and policies that help guide nursing practice.

Identify potential legal risks for the nurse in the critical care setting, setting and strategies for self-protection/ malpractice exposure.

Review risky patient situations and scenarios and offer practical and feasible solutions for each.
